Who We Are

Ever since we founded our Online Magazine in 2023, we’ve maintained the highest standards of honest reporting, while covering stories on a wide variety of topics. Our team of content creators is experienced and passionate about what they do and is here to make sure you stay informed on everything that is going on.

At DUNNE, we believe in transparency and treat our valued audience with the respect they deserve. We’re always looking for feedback and suggestions about our content, as we believe this is the only way to keep improving our output each and every day.

Where did we start?

In 2018, fresh out of university with a top degree, I found myself struggling to find work in my desired field. Like many recent graduates, I was faced with the harsh reality of a competitive job market that seemed to value experience over potential. Despite the setbacks, I refused to give up on my dreams of making an impact in the world of media and fashion.

It was during this time that I began to channel my energy into a Facebook news page that focused on fashion, lifestyle, and culture. I poured my heart and soul into every post, hoping to connect with others who shared my passion for these topics. To my surprise, the page began to gain traction and the number of followers steadily grew.

As the months passed, the page became more than just a hobby. It had become a community of individuals who shared my love for fashion and lifestyle. I saw an opportunity to turn this into something more, and so, in 2020, I took a leap of faith and launched DUNNE Magazine.

Starting a magazine from scratch was no easy feat. There were countless sleepless nights spent designing layouts, reaching out to contributors, and pouring over every detail. But the hard work paid off. DUNNE began to gain recognition for its unique perspective and fresh approach to lifestyle journalism.

Fast forward to 2023, and I find myself standing on the shoulders of giants. DUNNE has been acquired by Hearst, one of the largest media companies in the world. But even as we grow and evolve, I remain at the helm as CEO, ensuring that the vision and values that inspired me to start this journey remain intact.

DUNNE Magazine is more than just a publication. It's a testament to the power of hard work, perseverance, and passion. It's a celebration of all those who dare to dream big and refuse to give up on their ambitions. And above all, it's a reflection of the community that has made it all possible.

Past-Growing up & Now

Hi there, I'm Alfie Dunne, the CEO of DUNNE Magazine. I'm now 28 years old, and I've come a long way from my childhood in a small town in the UK.

Growing up, I was always interested in exploring new things. My parents were both creative people, and they encouraged me to pursue my interests from a young age. I tried my hand at everything from painting to music to dance, and I loved the feeling of learning something new.

As I got older, I became more focused on my studies. I excelled in school, and I was determined to continue my education at a top university. That's how I ended up at Cambridge, where I studied politics and philosophy.

But even during my time at university, I never lost my love of exploring new hobbies and interests. I tried my hand at everything from rock climbing to improv comedy, and I loved the feeling of challenging myself and pushing myself out of my comfort zone.

When I graduated, I struggled to find work that felt fulfilling. I knew that I wanted to make a difference in the world, but I wasn't sure how to go about it. That's when I had the idea to start a lifestyle magazine that would encourage people to live more intentionally and explore new ways of thinking.

Since launching DUNNE Magazine, I've been able to combine my love of creativity and exploration with my desire to make a positive impact on the world. It hasn't always been easy, but I'm grateful for the opportunity to do work that I truly believe in.

Outside of work, I still love to explore new hobbies and interests. I'm an avid traveler, and I try to visit at least one new country every year. I'm also a bit of a foodie, and I love trying out new restaurants and recipes.

In my free time, you can usually find me reading a good book or spending time with friends and family. I'm always on the lookout for new adventures and experiences, and I'm excited to see where life takes me next.

As the CEO of Dunne Magazine, I am excited to share our plans for the future of the publication. We are committed to continued growth and success, while also staying true to our core values of promoting free thinking, positivity, and diversity.

Our main focus for the future is to expand our reach and impact by:

  • Developing a stronger online presence through our website and social media channels.

  • Increasing our distribution channels to reach a wider audience both nationally and internationally.

  • Offering more diverse and inclusive content that speaks to a variety of lifestyles, backgrounds, and interests.

  • Investing in eco-friendly and sustainable practices to reduce our carbon footprint.

  • Supporting important causes through our platform and donating a percentage of our profits to charity.

As a publication, we believe it is important to use our platform to bring awareness to important issues facing our world today. We hope to make a positive impact on the following areas:

  • Combatting world hunger and poverty through partnerships with organizations focused on providing access to food and resources.

  • Promoting environmental sustainability through eco-friendly practices and partnering with organizations dedicated to protecting our planet.

  • Advocating for equality and diversity through inclusive content and partnerships with organizations focused on creating a more equitable society.

  • Supporting mental health initiatives and raising awareness about mental health issues through our platform.

  • Empowering and supporting women through our content and partnerships with organizations focused on women's rights and empowerment.

We are committed to making a positive impact through our magazine and hope to inspire our readers to join us in creating a better world for all.
